Golden Hour Proposal in Central Park

To me, there’s nothing more magical than a sunny day as the sun begins to set over the skyline. An hour before the sun fades is probably my most favorite time to do any kind of photoshoot. There’s something about golden hour in Central Park that makes it feel so romantic and, well.. quintessential New York City. That was especially true during Harry & Isabella’s proposal.

Tucked away on a quiet hill in Cedar Hill, Harry & Isabella walked along the path to a beautiful blanket spread across the grass. Champagne, flowers, and candles awaited them where Harry then asked the special question to Isabella. The sun just fell behind the trees as the moment commenced.

The moment was beautiful and the lighting made for a cinematic and romantic feel. There was excitement, laughter, and quiet intimate moments happening between them. As I fired away at the shutter, I couldn’t help but smile at this beautiful moment. They then sat down and began talking as I allowed them the space to enjoy the moment, while giving them a prompt every so often.

After, we walked along the tree-lined paths, under bridges, and over to the Conservatory Water and the Central Park Model Boathouse to continue our session. Harry and Bella had such a natural and warm connection between them that carried throughout all of their photos. I made sure to capture them walking, and all the in-between moments while we set up at different spots for more photos. If you’re considering proposing in Central Park during “Golden Hour” I highly recommend taking advantage of the lush foliage and stunning architecture the park offers.

Enjoy a sample of the rest of our session below and thank you for reading this blog post.
